Description
The author, Bruce Bulford’s commentary covers the law and specific information relevant to registered clubs, all aspects of liquor licensing, hotel and club gaming and the procedures applied by the Casino Liquor & Gaming Control Authority. This practical commentary is the result of the author’s considerable experience in the liquor & gaming jurisdiction of New South Wales and is combined with the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing fact sheets, guidelines, precedents, press releases and policies.
The service also contains a unique, fully headnoted, Gaming and Liquor Decisions (GLD) which take a broad view of what constitutes a gaming or liquor licensing decision and offers a compilation for the convenience of practitioners. The GLD are selected from the Supreme Court NSW, Court of Appeal NSW, the former Licensing Court NSW, the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority and Administrative Decisions Tribunal, raising issues of importance that are also covered within the commentary of the service. To complement this report series we also publish the Authority’s Local Impact Assessment determinations on gaming applications.
To date the following Acts have been annotated: Registered Clubs Act 1976, Gaming Machines Act 2001, Gaming Machine Tax Act 2001 and Liquor Act 2007 with the Casino, Liquor and Gaming Control Authority Act 2007, Smoke-free Environment Act 2000, Local Government Act 1993, Roads Act 1993, Food Act 2003 and Retail Leases Act 1994 to follow.
The online version of this service has the benefit of the sanctioned liquor and gaming forms being available for completion and submission as Word documents. Further developments to the online service has been the introduction of a “Breaking News” feature, which publishes current news including topical discussion papers, up-to-date information on Bills before Parliament and relevant media releases.
