Description

Law for Managers is a unique and accessible resource designed specifically for managers and business professionals who regularly encounter legal issues but do not have formal legal training. This first edition offers a practical, real-world approach to understanding the legal principles that shape everyday business decisions.  This includes: how to form contracts; avoid negligence; choose a business structure; deal with customers and employees; protect valuable data or intellectual property; and manage disputes and ethical issues.

What sets this book apart is its focus on the manager’s perspective ─ empowering readers to:

  • Grasp essential legal concepts relevant to business operations
  • Use the law proactively to prevent problems before they arise
  • Identify when specialist legal advice is needed
  • Collaborate more effectively with legal professionals

Whether you're a working manager or a student, this book is an invaluable tool. It’s also ideal for:

  • Postgraduate business or commerce students studying law units
  • Commerce students enrolled in business law subjects
  • Law students taking commercial law electives
  • Undergraduate students in management, business, or commerce programs across Australia

Law for Managers bridges the gap between legal theory and business practice ─ giving you the confidence to make informed decisions and the tools to turn legal knowledge into strategic advantage.
